VAL D’ISERE SEASONAL APARTMENTS 2011 / 2012

Please read below if you are thinking of renting an apartment with us.

Please note that if you wish to rent an apartment, it must be paid for in advance, rent plus security bond.  To secure an apartment we need 25% on booking and the balance and security bond to be paid 5 weeks before the start of the season. If this is not paid by the due date you risk losing your initial 25%.

All prices are quoted in Euros, and payment can be made either into a Euro or Sterling account. If paying in sterling we will let you know the exchange rate, as we will give you half way between business and tourist rate that OUR bank gives. CHECK RATE WITH US. If you feel your bank gives a better exchange rate please pay in Euros.

Electricity is not included in the rentals and this will be paid during the season or at the end of the season deducted from security bond, depending on apartment.

Apartments will be clean and an inventory will be carried out on entry. On departure if any cleaning is needed you will be charged 30euros an hour. If anything is broken during the season, please try to repair or replace items, otherwise you will be charged for the damage or breakages.

NB - SECURITY BONDS - You will not get 100% of security bond returned. Electricity, cleaning, laundry and any repairs or replacements for damages items will be deducted from bond.

Duvets or blankets and pillows are supplied in all apartments, but you must bring your own bed linen. Bedding must be cleaned on departure, either by you yourself or we will arrange for laundry clean and deduct it from security bond.

All apartments have basic essential equipment, e.g. - fridge, oven, pots, pans, crockery, etc. SOME apartments have TV & DVD, but this is rare, though you can buy them quite cheaply from Bourg St Maurice.  

Telephones are not available in apartments, most people use mobile phones and internet café for email.

If you are a single person and looking to share an apartment, let us know and we will try and arrange sharing. The price for single persons is sometimes slightly different to prices quoted below.

Property consultants required - (year round position)

We are looking for self employed property consultants in the French ski resorts of Val d’Isere and Tignes.

You must be (or are soon to be) a permanent resident in France.

Essential qualities we are looking for in a candidate:
· Commitment, flexibility, self-discipline and self-motivation
· At least 5 years experience in sales or customer facing environments
· Happy to work independently but also be a team player
· Passionate about France and property
· IT literate
· Reasonable level of French and English – you need to be understood throughout the process of buying and selling in both languages so this is essential.

The role of an independent sales agent is to create and maintain a high quality and relevant property portfolio and to help Leggett Immobilier and Leggett SKI clients find a property which meets their buying criteria.

Initial training and ongoing support and development are provided by the Head Office and a regional manager. We understand what it takes to be successful and will share that knowledge with you in order that you can grow your business as quickly and as effectively as possible. Establishing yourself as an estate agent in France is no mean feat, and does require a degree of time and commitment to really make it work. Be under no illusions, it is hard work but financially rewarding to work as an estate agent in France.

Work - General

Jobs for the summer are hard to find as there are a lot of Seasonaires, and not so many jobs, speaking French is a definite advantage.

Jobs for the winter try one of the following websites, contact all major holiday companies or try turning up in resort, you must remember a lot of people do this, and it can take a few weeks to find a job. So have enough money to keep you going. Quite often people leave after Christmas, so jobs become available throughout January. If you speak French you stand a better chance as there are many shops, cafes etc who need French speakers.
